July, 2016 - Karma Bhotia and the Bhotia Foundation were recently featured in a news article published in the Santa Barbara Independent.  The article was written on the one-year anniversary of the 2015 earthquake in Nepal and it details the conditions in Nepal one year after the 2015 earthquake.  The article speaks about what the contributions of the Bhotia Foundation and other non-profit NGOs have meant to the Nepali people in their continuing efforts to recover from the devastating 2015 earthquake.  Here is the link to the article:

December, 2014 - We are happy to have returned to Durango from the Bhotia Foundation’s service project in our home village of Chyamtang, Nepal.
Thanks to the generous donations and efforts of many, construction of the new school at Chyamtang has commenced.
Additionally, as a result of our visit to Chyamtang and participating in a lengthy collaborative process with the residents of Chyamtang village, the Bhotia Foundation has many other charitable projects that are in the planning stages.
Many of you have had the opportunity to read the articles in the Durango Herald written by John Peel, a Herald reporter who accompanied us on the service trek to Chyamtang.  John’s articles provide an insightful and informative look at the Bhotia Foundation’s service work in Nepal.
